Strike & Spare Western Avenue

I was so happy when this bowling alley reopened after sustaining extensive fire damage. The remodeled building is beautiful. The staff are very attentive and the food is excellent. I highly recommend Strike & Spare on Western Ave.

We used to bowl here before the fire and the people were friendly, lanes worked and good music (rock) was played. Today was our first time back since they reopened and our last. Appearence wise the place looks amazing. However, we had to have our lane fixed 3 times within just the 4th frame. It just continued to be problems throught the game. I asked if we could be moved, to which the girl said no sorry I can't do that because all of the lanes are being used..there was 6 empty lanes on the side we were on. At the start of the 2nd game, same issues plus our ball got stuck a couple times. If you reset, if wipes out all of your pins, and neither lane kept up with score correctly a few times. My husband went up to the desk and complained and they finally moved us,(the girl at the desk tried to same she couldn't move us before bc there was a league. However there were 6 lanes not being used) We made it to the 9th frame on the new lane and they skipped our 10th frame. So we had to go back to the desk again. What should be been a fun time ended up being a pain. The older gentleman that worked here before the fire waa great, now some of them seem like they could care less. Such a shame.

So nice but their still working out some kinks. Lane 4 was having issues dropping our pins. So they moved us to a new lane and it was great. Overall this place is so nice so glad to have them back. The food is good too.

The new renovations are amazing. Everything is clean and new, staff are very nice and helpful. Andrew in the pro shop drilled holes in a new ball I got and set me up perfectly; he was also patient each time I had to go back for adjustments. 10/10 experience, North Broadway S&S is closer but I think I’d rather go here from now on!
